The field is bigger and the plays are faster, so show your players that you can count on them as your eyes, ears, and brains out in the field.

• Ask your players about what works and what needs work at the start of practices after games.
• Create leadership roles that you can rotate through all the players:
  • Captains at the beginning of games to see which team starts with the ball.
  • Captains at practices to lead strategy during scrimmages.
• Emphasize team work, integrity and self respect as the main qualities of great players.
